There are many makers of home routers and it seems like D-Link does not care about security. D-Link have eight routers that have problems and after about nine month they have not fix any of the problems. All I have to say is that if D-Link don’t care about the consumers we shall give them no business.
Recently I looked into a Netgear WiFi extender and notice that the configuration page is not HTTPS. Also if you answer security questions the unit would be able to give you your login credentials. I contact Netgear to inquire on the configuration page being in HTTP and they responded that its secure and non of their product support HTTPS.
Personally I use Synology, Ubiquiti and Apple Airport Express.
