Many of us would use the router that our ISP give us to connect to the internet.  We don’t usually think about the security of the router.  With the latest AT&T router backdoor, it is very important that we protect our privacy.  Even if you have nothing to hide, you do not just give up your privacy.  Below picture shows the value of a hacked computer.

We need provide more security for our home router.  We should not use the router that connect to our ISP to get on the internet.  A good way to connect is with a 4 router setup.  Router 1 is the ISP router and it has one connection to router 2.  Router 2 will have connection to router 3 and router 4.  Router 3 and 4 is where you connect to the internet.  Router 3 can the internet access for your IOT devices and router 4 can be for your computers.  Router 1 and 2 can be on 192.168.0.0, router 3 can be on 172.16.0.0 and router 4 can be on 10.0.0.0.  Also to make sure that NAT is enabled on all 4 routers.  If router 1 and 2 support WiFi, it should be disabled.  All four router should also be hard wired.
